How long will the Wall Decals stay up?

Wall decals are perfect for temporary applications but will last for years with proper care. Indoors, wall decals will easily last for up to 4 years. They should be applied away from direct heat and sunlight as heat can release the adhesive and cause the decals to peel. To clean, just gently wipe with a damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or cleaning agents. Outdoors, Wall Decals will last 2 to 3 years.

Can I apply my wall decals to textured walls?

Wall Decals adhere best to smooth surfaces such as drywall. Slightly textured surfaces such as an orange peel texture are fine. Wall decals will not adhere to rough, textured or very porous surfaces.

How long should I wait before applying wall decals to freshly painted walls?

Wait! Freshly painted surfaces should be allowed to dry for at least 2 weeks or even 3 weeks in humid or damp locations. This allows ample time for the paint to completely cure. The decals will adhere better and paint will not come off when the wall decals are removed.

What type of paints do wall decals adhere to best?

Wall decals adhere best to matte, satin or semi-gloss paints.

What other surfaces can wall decals be applied to?

Wall decals are great on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as ceilings, glass, mirrors, sealed concrete floors, smooth metal, tile, plastic and finished wood furniture. Surfaces must be smooth and clean. Walls must be dust and residue free.

Are there surfaces that are NOT recommended for wall decals?

Definitely! In addition to highly textured surfaces like stucco, wall decals will also not adhere to fibrous materials (fabric), and unpainted canvas. Wall decals do adhere to paper-based materials as a permanent application and are not removable from paper or wallpaper.

Are Wall Decals suitable for application in the bathroom?

Absolutely! Wall Decals are perfect for bathroom and kitchen use too! They can be easily applied to mirrors, tiles, or acrylic shower walls, shower curtains and even – the toilet! Wall Decals can withstand the humidity of a bathroom but the surfaces need to be completely dry before applying.

Will wall decals leave a residue or peel the paint when removed?

No! Wall Decals do not leave a sticky residue. Depending on the condition of your painted surfaces when the wall decals were initially applied, there may be some paint flecking that will require minor paint touch ups after removal of the wall decals.

Are wall decals easy to remove?

Wall decals are very easy to remove! Simply lift a corner or an edge with your fingernail and gently peel off the wall. For removal of wall decals from less porous surfaces such as glass, use a hairdryer (set on low heat) to warm the decal. This releases the adhesive and makes it even easier to peel off! Keep in mind that the less porous the surface the more effort it will take to remove Wall Decals.
