You’ve probably seen the amazing bedroom makeover of a 6 years old kid, transforming his room into a pirate ship bedroom. We have to admit, it’s an extraordinary design and it sure has gotten the WOW affect out of us. But to be honest, it has some downsides to it. Let’s begin with the budget – it’s probably a crazy one. And the fact that the kid, as much as he enjoys this now, will outgrow this pirate ship design in the next couple of years, and then what?
Don’t get us wrong – we’re into making your kids’ rooms and nurseries into a fun place, one that fits your child’s (and yours) pirates dreams and fantasies. But there’s an easy way to do it, not to mention cheaper – use wall decals to create your theme. And the best part is, you can always remove them when your kid outgrows that decor.
Here are some more normal alternative to the Pirates theme room decor. All you need is a pirates ship, a deserted island, a treasure chest and of course, the Jolly Rogers.
You can always apply additional nautical wall decals to the other walls, to create a “sea of mysteries” decor:
